China’s Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Tao Huaiying met with Jacek Czerniak, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland, in Beijing on June 6. The meeting focused on enhancing China-Poland cooperation in agriculture.
China’s CVO Tao Huaiying noted that the longstanding traditional friendship between China and Poland has grown stronger over time. With the joint efforts of both countries, significant progress has been made with smooth operation of bilateral mechanisms for agricultural cooperation, rapid growth of agricultural trade, and fruitful outcomes in S&T cooperation. China stands ready to work with Poland to further implement the key consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, strengthen trade and S&T cooperation in agriculture, and establish the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Farm Produce Wholesale Market in Poland at an early date, thus to elevate China-Poland practical cooperation in agriculture and rural development.
Secretary of State Czerniak spoke highly of China-Poland agricultural cooperation, expressing the willingness for further exchanges on issues such as animal health and the transformation in rural development and for closer bilateral cooperation in agriculture.
