The China Agricultural and Rural Service Industry Alliance held its founding meeting in Beijing on Mar. 31. Wu Hongyao, Deputy Director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Rural Affairs and Member of the Leading Party Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhang Tianzuo, Chief Livestock Officer of MARA and Director-General of the Department of Rural Cooperative Economy, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
It was pointed out at the meeting that the China Agricultural and Rural Service Industry Alliance as a public platform was designed to guide the all-round development of service organizations, facilitate exchanges and cooperation among service-related organizations and agencies, promote the integration and sharing of service resources, and strengthen self-discipline and standardized operation within the sector, so as to give a general push to agricultural and rural service industry.
The alliance was jointly initiated by 221 organizations, including 140 entities engaged in agricultural and rural services and 81 others. The latter comprised agricultural input producers and sellers, technology companies, financial institutions, research institutes, and industry associations.
