In accordance of the Law of People’s Republic of China on Animal Disease Prevention, the Administrative Measures on Evaluation of Disease-free Zones, and the evaluation results by National Experts Panel on Animal Health Risks, the Ministry has officially recognized the Yongji Foot-and-Mouth Disease-Free Zone in Jilin Province, which has met with all the national standards concerning a foot-and-mouth disease-free zone with vaccination.

Yongji Foot-and-Mouth Disease Free Zone in Jilin Province consists of a core zone and a buffer zone. The core zone covers the whole area of Yongji County while the buffer zone is composed of 7 county-level cities and districts, namely Panshi City, Huadian City, Chuanying District and Fengman District of Jilin City, Jiutai City, Shuangyang District, and Lotus Mountain Eco-tourism Distric of Changchun City.
