Minister Han Jun met with Jacob Jensen, Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark, in Beijing on April 22. They exchanged views on deepening agricultural cooperation between China and Denmark.
Minister Han noted that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Denmark agricultural cooperation has continued to deepen in recent years, marked by increasingly refined cooperation mechanisms, steadily expanding agricultural trade, intensified technological exchanges, and pioneering projects in the dairy sector. China will remain committed to high-level opening-up and stands ready to work closely with Denmark to fully leverage the working group on agricultural cooperation and other platforms. The two sides will further strengthen pragmatic cooperation in areas such as green agricultural development, smart agriculture, and the efficient utilization of swine resources, with a view to achieving more substantive and high-quality outcomes in bilateral agricultural cooperation.
The two sides also exchanged views and reached consensus on a number of issues, including the adaptation of agriculture to climate change, exploring the possibility of signing an action plan for agricultural cooperation, and the next working group meeting.
Minister Jensen agreed with Minister Han on further advancing bilateral agricultural cooperation, expressing Denmark's willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in areas such as agricultural science and technology and animal health, with a view to promoting the steady development of Denmark-China agricultural cooperation.
