Han Jun, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, met with Richard Takáč, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic, in Beijing on Nov. 1. They exchanged views on deepening China–Slovakia cooperation in agriculture.
Minister Han noted that China and Slovakia enjoy friendly agricultural relations and have maintained positive exchanges under the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European Countries. China hopes to work with Slovakia to strengthen cooperation in areas such as the utilization of animal and plant germplasm resources, deep and advanced processing of agro-products, sustainable land use, and smart agriculture. China also hopes to promote stable growth in bilateral agro-trade with Slovakia.
Minister Takáč expressed his appreciation to Minister Han for the warm reception and spoke highly of China–Slovakia agricultural relations. He said Slovakia looks forward to advancing cooperation with China in areas such as animal health and agro-trade.
Zhang Zhili, member of the CPC Leading Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, attended the meeting.
