DCZ Project Steering Committee Holds the 5th Meeting

The fifth meeting of the Project Steering Committee of the Sino-German Agricultural Centre (DCZ) was held virtually on June 4. The meeting was co-chaired by Peng Tingjun, Deputy-Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs (MARA), and Cornelia Berns, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation and World Food Affairs Department of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. The two sides reviewed the implementation of DCZ projects, approved the 2021 work plan for the DCZ, provided information on project evaluation arrangements, and exchanged views on priority areas for further agricultural cooperation. 

Hu Yan’an, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center (FECC) of MARA, attended the meeting in person, and Shen Liping, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, participated via video conference. Representatives from relevant departments of MARA, including the Department of International Cooperation, the Center of International Cooperation Service, the Rural Energy and Environment Agency, the National Animal Husbandry Station, and the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, also attended the meeting in person.
