The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the China Post Group recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote high-quality development of rural revitalization.
The agreement notes that the two parties will cooperate in six key areas: distribution of agricultural products, rural consumption, supply of public services in rural areas, smart agriculture, development of new agricultural entities, and the rural financial service system. In addition, the two parties made detailed plans to achieve the following nine objectives: more sales of agricultural products, steady growth of agricultural credit supply, improved logistical systems at counties, townships and villages, high-quality development of new agricultural entities, increased investment in rural infrastructure, upgraded platforms for public services in rural areas, wider application of big data in agriculture and rural affairs, successful holiday activities such as the Chinese Farmers’ Harvest Festival, and establishment of agricultural technology service stations in villages in Xinjiang. Focusing on areas of common concerns, the two parties will make use of their comparative advantages to take rural revitalization to a new level.
The two parties will establish and improve working mechanisms, enhance regular communication to implement the agreement, and ensure that financial services and nongovernmental capital effectively play their key roles.
