A press briefing for the 23rd China Agricultural Products Processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair was held in Beijing on Aug. 26. 

The Fair will be held in Zhumadian, Henan Province from Sept. 6-8 with a theme highlighting “Innovation Leads Agricultural Processing Industry Development and Industry Revitalization  Helps Build A Moderately Prosperous Society In All Aspects.” The Fair comprises three major events, namely, an achievement exhibition, investment matchmaking talks, and a high-level forum. 

The Fair features a new model combining both online and offline events, and serves as a platform to introduce premium quality products, carry out cooperative exchanges, display industrial achievements, develop partnerships for good programs, and present cutting-edge technologies and equipment. 

The Fair will organize diversified activities under close collaboration and coordination of competent ministerial and provincial authorities, including  building connections between agro-specialties production and marketing in poverty-stricken areas; signing contracts for key programs; conducting exchanges for agricultural processing technical institutes across the country; and bolstering brand building for exhibitors. Those activities will facilitate investment and trade of agro-processing industry, display the latest developments of the industry and promote consumption upgrading of urban and rural residents. 

In consideration of COVID-19 prevention and control requirements, the Fair will downsize the exhibition scale, reduce the number of exhibitors and visitors, streamline activities, adopting safeguards, and developing contingency plans to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
