MARA and the Ministry of Finance jointly allocated relief funds totaling 330 million yuan to flood-hit regions as part of recent efforts in flood relief and agricultural recovery.  

The funds will be used for repairing agricultural facilities damaged by the flood and post-disaster agricultural recovery in seven affected provinces and autonomous region in South China, including Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi and Sichuan to reduce farmers’ loss and secure harvest. 

With downpours continuing to wreak havoc across the Yangtz River basin since June, agricultural production has suffered a lot in some regions.
